JdM-1H-2
Very Early English Worcester Handle-less Cup and Saucer - George Granger - Hand Painted Birds and Insects typical of the period - Wonderful surface overall, minor gilt loss at rim and two small rim chips on base of cup (the larger of these two is shown in the 4th photo, above - the smaller is too small to show up in a photo), otherwise cup is whole and sound with no cracks. Saucer is in top-notch shape - good surface, no discernable gilt-loss, chip and crack-free. Cup measures 2 3/4" across x 1 1/4" tall. Saucer measures 4 5/8" across. Mark on cup did not photograph as well as mark on saucer, but they are virtually identical, dating the two to the 3rd quarter of the 18th Century. $125.
