JdM-1H-2

Very Early English Worcester Handle-less Cup and Saucer - George Granger - Hand Painted Birds and Insects typical of the period - Wonderful surface overall, minor gilt loss at rim and two small rim chips on base of cup (the larger of these two is shown in the 4th photo, above - the smaller is too small to show up in a photo), otherwise cup is whole and sound with no cracks. Saucer is in top-notch shape - good surface, no discernable gilt-loss, chip and crack-free. Cup measures 2 3/4" across x 1 1/4" tall. Saucer measures 4 5/8" across. Mark on cup did not photograph as well as mark on saucer, but they are virtually identical, dating the two to the 3rd quarter of the 18th Century.                                                   $125.

JdM-1H-1

Another Early, Lovely Piece of Worcester, from the same Maine

Estate as the above-listed Early Worcester Cup and Saucer - This piece also exisitely hand-painted with decoration typical to the period; lovely insects and florals. Gilt trim and accents overall with a classic cobalt under-surface at the rim. The dish measures 9 5/8" x 7" x 1 1/2" High. Minor gilt-loss here and there at the rim, otherwise very sound - no chips or cracks and wonderful surface retention overall. The lone dark blue crescent mark dates this piece to the 3rd or early 4th quarter of the 18th Century.                                  $195.

KM-1B-1

Herend Tureen - "Rothschild Bird (Pastel)" pattern - This incredibly lovely two-quart tureen is in pristine condition - all paint, gilding, handles, the wonderful lemon-form finial and applied florals are

100% intact. The decorative motifs used in this charming pattern were inspired by a story about the Baroness Rothschild's having lost a necklace in the garden which was said subsequently to have been found when seen being toyed with by a couple of birds in courtship. This piece will be a "Show-Stopper" on your table or sideboard. 12 3/4" Long from handle to handle, 8" across and 9" high. Shop around and compare - this item is priced to sell: $450.

Elephant Head-form handles and lid finial, "Marguerite" pattern. This Late Mayers piece with its kneeling nude potter mark and "JG" initials puts it in the John Gildea era and dates it to roughly 1885 -
